Hello world!
When I created this blog, I resolved to update it with information about what I'm up to artistically and otherwise. Since then, I've started a company, which is the repository for 92.5% of my artistic pursuits. You should know about Almanac. Still, it's such poor form to have a website and never update it -- so I will resolve to try to keep a list of things that are happening here, as much because it could be a good record for me to keep for myself as it is a good thing to share with the world. Yesterday, I substituted for Marcia Ferguson at UPenn, teaching her THARS 120 "Intro to Acting" class, and had such a blast that I would like to teach college students as much as possible. It was so invigorating to get to see such bright young people improvising, some of them for the first time! I'm busily preparing for the spring that will see me teaching a class at the Philadelphia School of Circus Arts and making Almanac's next full length show, Leaps of Faith, among many other things. The great news about that project is that we will (unofficially as of yet) be performing at the Philadelphia Museum of Art as part of Art After 5 on June 5th -- that will be your first chance to see some excerpts from the show! There's always more to write about -- but I really hope to see everyone that I've ever met at Almanac's fundraiser party, The Fleecing. Go check it out now -- it's going to be the party of the epoch, and you don't want to miss it! With love, Ben
